Working in a large supermarket chain and you get a message that the new area manager is on the way and his pet hate is wonky price tickets, So you pull everyone from there duties and have them checking the tickets around the shop. The area manager arrives and the visit doesn't go well. The problem is we concentrated on keeping the area manager happy and not the most important things (In most companies it's service, sales, quality and cleanliness) It's very unprofessional for management to have pet hates, unless there pet hates just happen to be the same as the companies current hot potato, which is unlikely because companies change there points of focus all the time.
